A young lady testified as follows: "Soon after I graduated at the High School I became afflicted with spinal trouble. The best medical aid that could be obtained in the town where I lived was summoned, but despite all their efforts to help me I grew worse, and at the end of seven years I was an utter wreck without a ray of hope that I would ever be well again. Through intense suffering my head was drawn out of shape, my chin resting against my breast. To make me in the least degree comfortable it seemed necessary for my mother to pad me in bed (using many small pillows), this requiring several hours each day. Nervousness was of such a high tension that holes were bored through the floor, and the bed made to rest on posts placed in the ground. I could not endure the jar of any one walking across the floor. In this critical condition Christian Science found me, and cast a ray of hope on my pathway. Under its beneficent influence I slowly but steadily improved, and to-night I stand before you healed, glad to bear testimony to the power of Christian Science healing."
A Scientist from Columbus, O., visiting in our city, spoke of the following incident which occurred in her home. A lady friend was stopping with her for a few days. For seventeen years she had been a slave to the awful habit of using opium, having spent a great portion of this time in sanitariums, endeavoring to be cured, but all to no avail. Through Christian Science the healing was accomplished, and the desire for opium destroyed.
