A Severe Case of Sore Throat

Last August I was attacked with a sore throat. My throat was so badly swollen that I had not taken food for over seventy-eight hours, and for several hours I was unable to swallow water. My family as well as myself began to be alarmed, as medical treatment gave me no relief. But man's extremity is God's opportunity. We sent to a loyal student of Science and Health for treatment. I felt easy in a very short time and the next morning I got up and ate my breakfast as usual and walked a mile to the home of the Scientist who had treated me. I have since been healed of what materia medica would have pronounced typhoid fever. I was also healed of the tobacco habit after using tobacco for over twenty-five years. The Scientists here are doing a grand work, and many desperate cases have been healed. My wife and two daughters have accepted Christian Science and are proving for themselves that God is a very present help, and that Christian Science is the Truth that makes free.
