Is the Theory Correct?
No one who has had any experience can now deny that radical healing is accomplished through Christian Science; so the next question that comes to the doubting Thomas is this: "How can you tell whether the theory of Christian Science is correct? There are many mysterious mental influences as yet unexplained, which seem to produce marked phenomena. There is a phenomenon of Spiritualism, for example, some instances of which are doubtless genuine; but it does not follow that the theory accepted by Spiritualists is correctly deduced. Perhaps the healing you attribute to the teachings of a certain book is really caused by mental suggestion, hypnotism, or animal electricity?"
Dear friends asking these questions, get the books, — you can find them in the libraries, if at present you do not wish to purchase, — and try the theory for yourself. We who never knew how to heal sickness before, are gaining an understanding of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and can apply its teachings to the belief of every known ailment, moral or physical, and usually to the entire eradication of the trouble, uprooting it so thoroughly that not a sign of it ever appears again.
Just try it for yourself, and if you do not perceive clearly how to banish your own fears, ask some one who has studied the book thoroughly to help you. Rest assured that "it is the theology of Christian Science which heals." Put its teachings into practice and you will know whether or not it is of God.
