The superiority of Christian Science healing over...
The superiority of Christian Science healing over materia medica can be seen in the following experience. A lady testified that from early childhood she had been subject to sick headaches, and that from year to year, her suffering and misery increased. In later years she became afflicted with muscular rheumatism, which the doctors claim went to her heart. For seven years she was an invalid, spending the greater portion of this time in the hospitals. She said, "I became so low that friends did not think it possible for me to live. At this critical point Christian Science was brought to my attention. It proved to be the good Samaritan that bound up my wounds. It convinced me that there is balm in Gilead. While the physical healing seems a marvel to those not understanding Christian Science, yet it is of small consequence compared with the spiritual uplifting, the moral reform, the new beauty beheld in the Scriptures, which is the 'new tongue' of which our Master spake."
A lady stated that Christian Science had healed her of twenty-five years of suffering, including almost all the ills that flesh seems heir to, and while she was very grateful for this, it was of little value compared with the happiness and joy and reform that this great Truth had brought into her home.
