A gentleman spoke of two instances
Dayton (O.) Herald
A gentleman spoke of two instances. First, he told of a business man raised in the Jewish faith, living in a neighboring city, who had become interested in Christian Science. He says, "I see in Christian Science a Principle, and I am endeavoring to conduct my business according to that Principle, which causes me to love Good and honesty, though this is different from the course I once pursued." Second, he spoke of great benefits that an elderly lady has received in Christian Science. The physical relief was great. In a recent conversation with her daughter, she said, "Mother has changed so much; she is so different, her life is changed, and it is due to Christian Science." Her heart was filled with joy for the great change or reform in her mother. I told her that the physical healing and moral reform were one in Christian Science, and that it was impossible for man to be healed physically without the moral benefit.
A lady testified that she had been in very delicate health for some time, and not only a great sufferer, but was compelled to use glasses for seven years, it seeming impossible to go without them. Through Christian Science she was healed in a very short time, and is now able to work, and can see to sew and read without any glasses.
A practitioner stated that she had been called to a home, where a little child had been given up to die. After she entered the house, it was not long until the child commenced to improve, and in a few hours it was on the floor playing, having been restored to health.
