Testimonies at a Wednesday Evening Meeting

In search of health man has sought out many material inventions. He has knocked at the door of the allopath, the homæopath, and the other schools of medicine, and did he know the ingredients of the drugs and the poisons swallowed, he would be astounded. He has sought the health resorts and bathed in the waters recommended to heal him; he has ascended the mountain, traversed the plain, traveling from one country to another, longing, looking, searching, seeking for that which matter and climate can never give, for health must be sought in Soul, — God, — not sense; must be attained through spiritual, not material means.

With the open Bible before him, when all material means have failed, has that individual ever lived to whom the query has not come, "Why is the healing done in the days of Jesus and his apostles not repeated to-day?"

"Is there not as great need of suffering being relieved to-day as then, seeing that diseases have so greatly multiplied?"
