Although I was raised in a Christian Science...
Although I was raised in a Christian Science family and went to church regularly, I did not pursue or study Science as we are taught to do.
About a year after my mother had passed on, I became very ill with what a doctor called an erratic heart condition. Under medical treatment I grew steadily worse, until, when I went to sleep at night, I did not know whether I would be on this plane of existence by morning.
While I was in this state of fear, which also involved the fear and concern of my family, a dear friend from a branch church of Christ, Scientist, came to see me in the hospital and brought me a copy of the Sentinel and a pamphlet with a message of comfort and healing.
