The Liberating Power of True Education
The quest for learning is normal and natural. From his earliest years the child asks, "Why?" and he should be given answers that will satisfy him and that will help free him from fear.
Mrs. Eddy has this to say, "The entire education of children should be such as to form habits of obedience to the moral and spiritual law, with which the child can meet and master the belief in so-called physical laws, a belief which breeds disease." Science and Health, p. 62;
Education in its highest and best sense liberates men from the confusion of many minds and leads toward the demonstration of the one Mind, or God. True education is spiritual, freeing mankind from the shackles of erroneous beliefs. Materialistic education, however, fetters mankind with ever more and more intricate shackles.
