I have had many proofs of God's loving care through the study and application of the truths found in the Bible and amplified in the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy.

One of the first encouraging and emphatic statements to make its mark on me is from the textbook (p. 167), "Only through radical reliance on Truth can scientific healing power be realized." During many years I have learned that steadfast obedience to this teaching has always brought quick release from human bondage, while a halfhearted effort has prolonged the demonstration.

In the late summer of 1962 I sustained a broken hipbone. The pain and shock were severe; but I immediately reached out to God as best I could, and this prevented me from passing out. A good Samaritan came to my aid where I was, on the street, and my husband was called on the telephone for help. In due course he arrived, and I was taken home.
