Great changes are going on in the churches throughout the world. . . . Clearly God is implanting within the minds of men His will for unity within His church. . . .

As many other laymen are, I am distressed and dismayed at the slowness of the movement towards unity. In England, my own country, there has not been a union across denominational boundaries for over eighty years. It is true that talks are going on between Anglicans and Methodists, between Anglicans and Presbyterians, between Presbyterians and Congregationalists, yes, some have been going on for twenty years; we talk and talk, but never act. If it truly be God's will that His church should be one, then there is something wrong with us.
