Announcement

The appointment of Ralph E. Wagers, C.S.B., of Boston, Massachusetts, to the newly created post of Manager of The Christian Science Board of Lectureship, effective April 1, was announced by The Christian Science Board of Directors.

Mr. Wagers has resigned as an Associate Editor of The Christian Science Journal, the Christian Science Sentinel, and The Herald of Christian Science to accept his new position. The Directors announced the appointment of William Milford Correll, C.S.B., of Cleveland, Ohio, as an Associate Editor to succeed Mr. Wagers.

As Manager of the Board of Lectureship, Mr. Wagers will be responsible to The Christian Science Board of Directors for administering the worldwide activities of the Board of Lectureship. He has had broad experience in Christian Science activities. He joined The Mother Church in 1919 and received Primary class instruction in Christian Science in 1921. Mr. Wagers withdrew from a business career in 1925 to enter the full-time public practice of Christian Science healing. He became an authorized teacher of Christian Science in 1940 and was elected to the Board of Lectureship in 1946. He resigned from that Board in 1959 to become an Associate Editor of the religious periodicals. He served as President of The Mother Church for the year 1962-1963. Mr. Wagers taught the 1964 Normal class of the Board of Education.
