While visiting in the home of a Christian Science practitioner, I saw a young man who had been under medical care quickly healed, through prayer alone, of severe burns. Although I believed in the power of prayer, I could not understand this quick healing. I had been a sufferer from asthma since childhood and was greatly in need of healing.

I did not retire that night until I had asked the practitioner what had happened to the young man, for surely nothing but the power of God could have performed the change. She told me that at his request the young man had had a Christian Science treatment.

I asked, "What is Christian Science?"
