THINKING IN ACCORD WITH REALITY

Our thinking has much to do with our experience, so much so, in fact, that it determines our experience. The more correct our thinking and the more our thinking corresponds with reality, the more harmonious and constructive our experience will he.

Christ Jesus brought to the world the kind of thinking that differed radically from that of other religious leaders in that it had God, divine Mind, as its source rather than as its objective. In other words, God was the source of his thoughts.

The Master's thinking was always in accord with God's will, divine law. That is why he could speak with authority. Jesus never accepted the unreal as the real. He never accorded truth to error or power to evil. In talking to the people, Jesus likened those who did according to his sayings to a wise man "which built his house upon a rock." and "the people were astonished at his doctrine. For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes" (Matt. 7).
