A LESSON FROM NOAH

The realization that man reflects the nature of God, who is infinite Spirit, Life, and Love, awakens thought from the belief of life and intelligence in matter to the true idea of being. Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, says (Science and Health, p. 230): "This awakening is the forever coming of Christ, the advanced appearing of Truth, which casts out error and heals the sick. This is the salvation which comes through God, the divine Principle, Love, as demonstrated by Jesus."

We read in Hebrews (11:7), "By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith."

Noah's salvation was attributed to the building of an ark. The definition of "ark"' in the Glossary of Science and Health reads in part (p. 581), "Safety; the idea, or reflection, of Truth, proved to be as immortal as its Principle; the understanding of Spirit, destroying belief in matter."
