Many years ago my mother was healed in Christian Science. She had worn an internal support for years. My father took her to a Christian Science practitioner. She had treatment for two weeks, and at the end of this time she discarded the support and did not need it again.

The two children were immediately enrolled in the Christian Science Sunday School. As one of them I was greatly blessed by what I learned in Sunday School, and I have had many healings since then, among which are those of broken bones, influenza, and the tendency to criticize. Also I am learning patience and love for my neighbor.

Two healings stand out particularly. One was of an injured hand and the other of a severe pain in my chest. I injured my hand when I turned off a faucet that was broken. The nerves in the palm of my hand were severed, and a bone was broken. The doctor who sewed up the hand told me I would never play the pipe organ again. I declared the truth as we are taught in Christian Science, and in a little over a month, I resumed my profession of teaching music and playing the organ. I was able to do this freely, and I have also played the organ in a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, ever since.
