In the Bible we read (Ps. 107:20): "He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions," and (Ps. 107:2), "Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy." I should like to express gratitude for Christian Science and for all the activities of The Mother Church, one of which is our Reading Rooms. Also I should like to share an instantaneous healing on the occasion of my first visit to a Reading Room.

Several years ago as I left my home to take an examination in connection with my work, I told my family that after the examination I was going to a Christian Science Reading Room for information, because I had been told by my daughter-in-law that Christian Science could heal me of a physical condition that had persisted for many years. Like the woman spoken of in the fifth chapter of Mark, I had "suffered many things of many physicians, ... and was nothing bettered," for each had told me that it was an incurable sciatic condition of the nerves in my leg and hip.

My inquiry at the Reading Room was met with much love by the librarian. She assured me that man is made in the image and likeness of God, that God is Love and gives only good to His children. I was told that I was in God's care and was really complete now. I borrowed a copy of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and purchased a Christian Science Quarterly.
