Northport Journal
Northport, New York (First Church).
First Church of Christ, Scientist, Northport, New York, gratefully announces the dedication of its edifice on Sunday, May 11, 1958....
The first organized interest in Christian Science in this community was about the time of World War I and culminated in the recognition of Christian Science Society, Northport, by The Christian Science Board of Directors of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts. After a few years this group disbanded, leaving a building fund for the benefit of any future Christian Science church.
