THE UTILITY OF DIVINE METAPHYSICS

Christian Science proves by its demonstrations of spiritual healing the utility of divine metaphysics. The power of God thus made practical in human experience satisfies the prayer of mankind for spiritual enlightenment.

Through the divine metaphysics taught and practiced in Christian Science, we may utilize God's infinite power in order to attain and maintain health and harmony. But we may wonder how the power of God can become immediately operative in our experience. The divine law of good is everywhere present and ever operative. We are utilizing it when we acknowledge and understand that the facts of being are in accordance with this law, which underlies God's perfect creation.

Mary Baker Eddy declares in her book "Miscellaneous Writings" (p. 365): "If Christian Science lacked the proof of its goodness and utility, it would destroy itself; for it rests alone on demonstration. Its genius is right thinking and right acting, physical and moral harmony; and the secret of its success lies in supplying the universal need of better health and better men."
