EXPERIENCE QUICK AND PERMANENT HEALING

The healing works of Christ Jesus are recorded in the Bible as being immediate, without periods of convalescence. Moreover, there is no record that any of the diseases which were healed ever recurred. The healings were complete, permanent.

In Luke (4:38, 39) we read that when "Simon's wife's mother was taken with a great fever," Jesus "rebuked the fever; and it left her: and immediately she arose and ministered unto them." No need for convalescence here. No waiting for the return of health or strength.

The Master healed the sick, reformed the sinner, and raised the dead. He used no drugs, hypnotic spells, or any kind of mental or physical manipulation. Nor was his method a long, complicated process. Mary Baker Eddy tells us in "Unity of Good (p. 11), "Jesus required neither cycles of time nor thought in order to mature fitness for perfection and its possibilities."
