"HEAR THE WORD OF THE LORD"

"O Earth , earth, earth, hear the word of the Lord" (Jer. 22:29). This cry of Jeremiah, which prefaced a prophecy as to the throne of David, epitomizes his urgent plea, often repeated to the people of Judah, to "hear the word of the Lord," to repent of their wrongs and to do right. An equally urgent call is uttered today, and it can be heard by all whose thoughts are truly turning from evil and are reaching out to God for relief from the discords of the world.

As a result of the discovery of Christian Science by Mary Baker Eddy, mankind have available today the correct interpretation of "the word of the Lord," an interpretation which, when properly applied, heals the sick, reforms the sinner, and destroys discord as it was destroyed in the early Christian era. The Comforter, or spirit of Truth, is here for the benefit of all, not for a few. All may hear, understand, and be healed through its application to human needs.

"The word of the Lord" is brought to earthly comprehension through the activity of Christ. Truth. The Christ, or perfect manifestation of God, is the message of God which is heard by mankind, and it performs its salutary function to the degree that mortal sense is silenced.
