HOW TO ACHIEVE SUCCESS

Success is the normal result of right activity, and the satisfying of human needs is one of the legitimate rewards of such labor. Discussing human desire for the things believed to make life abundant, Christ Jesus counseled (Matt. 6:33), "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

Christian Science teaches that being a success depends on one's understanding of and obedience to God, divine Life and Truth. This Science affirms that man's true being is at one with God, Spirit, the one infinite Mind and Love, and that man is His perfect expression. Man, as divine Mind's idea, can never fail to reflect the full affluence and harmony of Love. He already possesses all that can constitute true success, for he expresses by reflection the intelligence, power, creativeness, and satisfaction that characterize Godlikeness.

How do these spiritual facts help mortals, who are so prone to failure and fear of failure? They show them that the way to achieve true success is to know that man is already entirely satisfied in his real being as Love's image. Because the spiritual man reflects the wholeness, health, and abundance of divine Mind, one can experience these qualities in daily life in proportion as he lets this Mind govern his thoughts and actions.
