THE LISTENING HEART
There is an answer to every human problem, and this answer comes from God, divine Mind, to the listening heart. In Proverbs we read (5:1), "My son, attend unto my wisdom, and bow thine ear to my understanding."
It is recorded that "the Lord called Samuel" (I Sam. 3:4). At the bidding of Eli, the child Samuel replied, "Speak; for thy servant heareth." Thus was his mission established as a prophet of the Lord.
The Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy, was also an obedient listener. She too as a child heard the voice of God calling her. She answered, and in later years she assumed the mission of promoting and extending the understanding and demonstration of the Christ, Truth, in this age.
