I am very grateful to God for Christ Jesus, our Way-shower, and for Mary Baker Eddy, our revered Leader, who was spiritually minded enough to discover Christian Science and give it to the world in such a form that we can use it in our daily living.

My first healing was of a physical and nervous breakdown accompanied by much loss of weight. The healing came slowly, because I had many thoughts of resentment, irritation, and sensitiveness to overcome.

The practitioner gave me references to study. One was from the Bible (II Tim. 1:7), "God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind," and another was from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy (Pref., p. vii), "To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings." These citations I studied diligently.
