When I first attended a Wednesday...
When I first attended a Wednesday testimony meeting in a Christian Science church, I did not understand much of what was read, but I was impressed by the hospitable atmosphere. Two or three years later Christian Science again crossed my path. At that time I was absorbed in self and had lost all interest in my academic studies.
Listening to Radio Luxembourg, I happened to hear one of the Christian Science programs. I saw that because Science starts from perfection, it denies suffering as unreal and thus proves that good is not abstract, but practical.
The next thing I did was to get my mother's New Testament, as I felt the program had given me a bit of the right understanding of the Bible. I had studied the Bible before, but except for one or two passages I had never understood its spiritual meaning.
