PREACH TRUTH FROM THE HOUSETOPS

"The struggle for Truth makes one strong instead of weak, resting instead of wearying one," writes Mary Baker Eddy in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 426). Such devotion in the interest of Christian Science necessarily entails effort in a right direction.

When Christ Jesus sent forth his disciples to heal and save, he counseled (Matt. 10:27), "What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops."

This command is equally instructive to earnest Christian Scientists today, who have enlisted to bless humanity with the greatest boon of world history—the Comforter promised by Jesus. Many are the faithful disciples of Truth advancing the Christ teaching as presented in Christian Science. These devoted workers (many of whom are gathered in Boston at this season for the Annual Meeting of The Mother Church) labor not only in fields sparsely settled, but in large population centers, where the needs are correspondingly great.
