TRUE LIVING

As I was walking with a friend in crowded city one day, he remarked, "There is such a sense of aliveness here." On returning home I started pondering the word "alive" and its meaning in the light of Christian Science.

The Science of Christianity explains existence from the standpoint of God, divine Principle, the creator of the universe. Therefore what is actually, that is, spiritually, true and real is discerned through an understanding of Principle, not through human sense testimony.

Mary Baker Eddy, in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," makes this pertinent and clear declaration (p. 124): "The universe, like man, is to be interpreted by Science from its divine Principle, God, and then it can be understood; but when explained on the basis of physical sense and represented as subject to growth, maturity, and decay, the universe, like man, is, and must continue to be, an enigma."
