PUTTING FIRST THINGS FIRST

[Of Special Interest to Young People]

Among good things to be achieved during school years are lasting friendships, not only among classmates but between teacher and pupil. These friendships bless both the teacher who gives of his wisdom, experience, and desire to elevate mankind, and the pupil whose goal is to learn to be a more useful member of his family, community, and country. A good habit for one to acquire in order to achieve lasting friendships and success is that of putting first things first.

Sometimes a young person finds that the teacher-pupil relationship is not what it should be. He may feel that he just cannot get along with a certain instructor. This problem can overshadow a full appreciation of the good to be gleaned from student years.

One who is devoting time to the gaining of an understanding of God through Christian Science, the Science of God and man, will learn to overcome this type of problem. This Science is the most universal and practical of all subjects. It is the Science of Life and applies directly to the entire round of daily experience.
