I have received many benefits since taking up the study of Christian Science. Some time ago I had a proof of the ever-increasing consciousness of the good that I am daily receiving from the study of our textbooks, the Bible and Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. For some days I had been suffering from a pain in my side. When I drew a deep breath, the pain was severe. I kept active, however, and on Sunday I attended church.

That afternoon, when alone with my thoughts of God and His creation, I was led to contemplate the Bible Lesson that I had studied in our Christian Science Quarterly all the preceding week and had heard read at our Sunday morning service. The subject was "Atonement," and I knew that all God's children are at one with their creator and that all therefore express His unlimited blessings.

In searching my thoughts, I found that I was not free from thoughts of resentment toward one who I felt had not judged me or my motives correctly. I was not holding all of God's children subject to the same Love that I felt governed me. As I pondered divine Love's universal blessings, I saw clearly that evil in any form is impersonal and unreal. A great sense of God's love, which included the one who had misjudged me, swept over me, and I was immediately free from pain. I have remained so since.
