A deeper, richer life in Christ is possible, [more so] than most of us have yet achieved. Occasionally we have met or read of some saintly souls who live on spiritual heights. Their lives have been so completely surrendered to God that they have a power and a peace such as we have never experienced, except in a partial way.
Because they have allowed the divine to take such complete possession of their hearts they have power over temptation, and victory over sin. They are able to walk in a world of sin without defilement, so strong and positive is the power of good within. ... They have an inner peace because their lives are no longer divided between self and God. Only the life that is surrendered to God can live free from the law of sin and death, and reproduce in living a life like that of Christ [Jesus], ...
