As I recall the blessings and divine guidance I have had since I turned to Christian Science, I am filled with great gratitude. Christian Science came to me after I had turned completely away from God. Through the study of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and the patience of a practitioner, I was led back to God.

Science taught me how to pray aright, and very soon I had a beautiful proof of the power of such prayer. The fact that I owed a large sum of money was a cause of great anxiety, for I could see no way of paying it in the near future. I prayed earnestly to God, for I wanted to prove the words of the Bible (Matt. 6:33), "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

I tried to direct my thoughts moment by moment to the abundance of spiritual good. I felt sure that all things are possible with God. Within a short time I received an unexpected payment. It was exactly the amount I owed.
