A Christian Science Society was organized in Lebanon on July 24, 1913, and was recognized by The Mother Church in June, 1914. It became First Church of Christ, Scientist, Lebanon, in November, 1919. The first services in Lebanon were held in the home of a member of the group. Later, services were held in the Red Men's Hall and still later, in the small courtroom at the courthouse. The present church property at 223 West North Street, including a home, which served as a church, was remodeled and dedicated, July 10, 1921.
