AT DAYBREAK
Mark 16:12
As
they walked and as they went
Through the quiet countryside,
Reading nature's testament,
Bird and beauty multiplied,
Jesus, mighty to transform,
Met them, and their hearts were warm.
We who walk by brook and lake,
Over meadow, through a wood,
Bird-companioned at daybreak,
Surely may expect all good—
Feel the peace that is unpriced,
Know the presence of the Christ.
