ABIDING IN TRUTH LEADS TO DEMONSTRATION

Christ Jesus brought to mankind a religion of truth, freedom, and wholeness. He encouraged men who desired to find the way to harmony and be free from fleshly ills and beliefs of sin by saying (John 8:31, 32), "If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

Through his yearning for the Christ, Truth, and his putting into practice what he had learned from Christ Jesus, the Apostle Peter was able to continue in the word and to practice understandingly the truth that makes free. He gradually tempered misguided zeal with divine wisdom. He also earned the privilege of witnessing his Master's transfiguration.

In the third chapter of The Acts of the Apostles is an account of Peter's healing of a man who, from birth, had never walked. In the ninth chapter we read of Peter's raising a widow from death, a positive proof that he had gained the conviction that Life is pure, incorruptible, and unchangeable.
