"O LORD, CORRECT ME"

The Psalmist said (Ps. 40:8), "I delight to do thy will, O my God." He knew the liberating effect which comes from the surrender of human will. As men understandingly obey the will of God, they rise above mesmeric bondage to material sense, and thus the domination of the false god, human will, is destroyed. Every healing in Christian Science indicates the destruction of some phase of stubborn human will.

Christian Science reveals that our experience is our thought objectified. We improve our experience in the exact ratio that we correct our thinking. Thought is elevated in the proportion that we admit into consciousness the truths of God and man, truths derived from the immortal divine Mind, and reject the fleeting concepts of the willful carnal mind.

It is well to remember that although false, human will poses as an entity apart from God and as the equal, if not the superior, of Deity, human will does so only in belief, for actually there is, there can be, no power opposed to the one God. Erroneous will, disobedient to God, deriving no authority from omnipotent Mind, is outside of God and is unreal, powerless. Through Christian Science we find the corrective, the Christ, Truth, which destroys false beliefs and their seeming effects.
