Our family has been blessed with many physical healings brought about through the prayerful application of Christian Science. When our son was in the first grade, he was sent home from school with an earache. I read aloud to him the Lesson-Sermon from the Christian Science Quarterly. Then, by consulting a Concordance, I was led to this passage in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy (p. 7): "The 'divine ear' is not an auditory nerve. It is the all-hearing and all-knowing Mind, to whom each need of man is always known and by whom it will be supplied."'

When this statement was declared audibly, the boy's face brightened. "Mommy, my ear just popped!" he exclaimed, and he was instantaneously healed. During the last year in school, he was healed of a peeling condition of the skin.

One healing of my own was that of a very deeply ingrown corn on the bottom of one foot. I realized one day that I was ignoring this condition and that it had become seemingly quite serious. I sat down with our textbook, determined to read it from cover to cover until the healing took place.
