It is with sincere and deep gratitude that I record some of the many blessings that have been revealed to me through Christian Science. A loving neighbor introduced my mother to Christian Science when I was a child. My two brothers, as well as a sister and I, were enrolled in the Christian Science Sunday School, and we were helped and protected in many ways.

Many years later a severe attack of influenza was quickly healed when I put my trust in God. I had collapsed on the bedroom floor during the first night of the attack, and I felt very ill for two days. My husband called a Christian Science practitioner, who came and talked to me of the things of God, and on the third morning I was much better but not completely free.

It was Sunday morning, and I knew that I had to do something about my work as a Sunday School teacher because I had not arranged for a deputy. I picked up the Christian Science Hymnal and opened it to Hymn No. 77, which begins, "God is my strong salvation."
