ON THE MOUNTAINTOP

A Woman faced with a troublesome problem found herself dwelling in thought on the inharmonies that appeared to be inherent in the situation. Although as a student of Christian Science she prayerfully tried to solve the problem, no immediate solution presented itself.

Since her office was near a Christian Science Reading Room, she finally decided to spend her lunch-hour each day seeking spiritual enlightenment.

On her way to the Reading Room the first day, she recalled that when she was a child, she liked to read in the Bible the experiences of those who ascended mountains. She visualized' the mountains as majestic and awe-inspiring, with towering trees and verdant growth. These, she thought as a child, were indeed proper and necessary settings for the momentous revelation that came to Moses in the Ten Commandments and to Elijah in divine guidance and served as the scene for the delivery of the Sermon on the Mount by Christ Jesus.
