Reading the testimonies in our periodicals has been a joy and inspiration to me for many years. Now, out of gratitude to God, I feel that it is time for me to add one of my own.

When I first heard of Christian Science, I was too prejudiced to investigate it. Several years later, however, when a friend came to see me, I noticed a great improvement in her health; so I inquired what had happened. She explained that she had been healed through Christian Science treatment. This so impressed me that at my request she accompanied me on a visit to the practitioner who had prayerfully worked for her.

For at least a year previous to this time I had used medicine daily for a bowel condition of long standing. As a result of my first visit to the practitioner, I have used no medicine in the thirty-one years which have followed, and I have enjoyed better health than formerly. A sincere desire to study this religion also came at this time.
