It has been my joyous privilege to have been reared in Christian Science. I attended a Christian Science Sunday School from an early age, and in later years I married a student of this Science. Our two daughters were enrolled in the Sunday School before they were two years old. They have been lovingly maintained and sustained by their heavenly Father.

I recall a beautiful healing experienced by our older daughter before she entered the first grade at school. She complained one evening of an earache, and in a short time she lapsed into a lethargic state with a high fever. We asked for help of a Christian Science practitioner, but for several weeks there was little improvement. I became oppressed with a great sense of fear. The practitioner asked us if we should like to have a Christian Science nurse, and we consented.

With our thought thus released, an immediate change took place. The child's normal functioning, which had been impaired, resumed, and her appetite returned. Her hearing was affected, but the practitioner reassured us with a message from the Bible (Prov.20:12), "The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the Lord hath made even both of them."
