"HEAL THE HEART"

In his Sermon on the Mount, Christ Jesus taught that purity of heart is essential to the demonstration of true being when he included among the Beatitudes the statement (Matt. 5:8), "Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God." To Jesus, Life was Spirit. In his human experience he discerned the tender heart of divinity and manifested Christ, Truth, thus becoming the Way-shower for all mankind.

Purification of the heart is an all-important step out of materiality into spirituality, into the recognition that God, Spirit, is All-in-all and that man is His pure reflection.

In the fifth chapter of John's Gospel it is recorded that a great multitude of impotent folk, suffering from all manner of diseases, gathered at Bethesda, a pool with five porches. They believed that at certain times an angel "troubled the water," rendering it curative for the first invalid who stepped down into the pool.
