With a deep feeling of gratitude for all the blessings I have received through Christian Science and prompted by Mrs. Eddy's desire that students of Christian Science write for the periodicals (see Miscellaneous Writings, pp. 115,271), I dutifully submit this testimony.

For years I suffered from a physical difficulty which was pronounced by an eminent physician as a sacroiliac displacement which had supposedly occurred during childbirth. There had been intermittent attacks of pain over a period of many years. Even available material means had been tried, without effecting a permanent cure.

About twelve years ago the condition became so bad that I was stricken with a fear of invalidism. Being an enthusiast of outdoor activities and feeling quite depressed over the possibility of having to give them up, I welcomed the recommendation of a sister that I try Christian Science. Upon my request she sent me the Bible, as well as "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and a Christian Science Quarterly.
