CHRISTLY TENDERNESS

Jesus reminded the listening multitude
That God makes the sun rise on the evil
As well as on the good,
And sends rain on the unjust
As well as on the just.

Here was a plea for Christly tenderness
Toward all, ourselves included,
Who do not do too well
In mortals' judgment—
A plea for Christly tenderness,
Which brings the healing touch of Love
Impartially to earth.
This is God's kingdom come.
