Sunday Salford's Christian Scientists traveled in a body to Peter Street, Manchester, for the dedication of Fourth Church of Christ, Scientist, Manchester.

In 1923, thirteen Christian Scientists met together and resolved to apply to The Christian Science Board of Directors of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, for recognition as a branch Church of Christ, Scientist. This recognition was granted, and meetings were held in the Geographical Hall, The Parsonage. Very soon it could not accommodate those desiring to attend the services, and a move was made so that the service could he held in the Memorial Hall, Albert Square.
