On page 275 of "Miscellaneous Writings," Mrs. Eddy declares, "Father, we thank Thee that Thy light and Thy love reach earth, open the prison to them that are bound, console the innocent, and throw wide the gates of heaven."

The instruction which I received from an early age in the Christian Science Sunday School showed me the way to free myself from discordant conditions. When I left home, I had great difficulty finding work. But after a time I awakened to the fact that man's place is already prepared and existent in Mind. I saw that I had only to wait with patience and without doubt as to the demonstration of that fact. Two weeks later I was offered a very good position, which I am still holding today.

A short while after that demonstration of God's care, I was faced with the necessity of finding another place to live. For four months all my efforts to find a place were fruitless. One evening, when I felt particularly alone and friendless, I saw clearly that it was necessary to depend only upon God, for Mrs. Eddy says in Science and Health (p. 254), "Pilgrim on earth, thy home is heaven; stranger, thou art the guest of God."
