"THE MAXIMUM OF GOOD"
There is nothing greater than the greatest, and the greatest good is God, who includes all good and no evil. Mary Baker Eddy declares in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 103), "The maximum of good is the infinite God and His idea, the All-in-all."
Those who understandingly love God equip themselves to enjoy the ultimate good, which God alone bestows. One of the earliest lessons presented to the Israelites was to serve only the one God, who was known to them as the Almighty.
The greatest good is found in our obedience to God, in the recognition that He is All and that man is His perfect expression. Christian Science gives every earnest inquirer practical proof of the value of understanding God as infinite, ever-present, almighty. The proof, although appearing in human affairs, is but the evidence of the presence of infinite good ever at hand. This infinite good includes health, happiness, love, spiritual security.
