With profound gratitude I should like to contribute my testimony proving the efficacy of Christian Science. For many years I utilized our religion only when in need of physical healing. Then I awoke to the fact that healing is but one phase of this Science, which is essentially the way of Life to be lived daily in meeting and solving all of our problems, whatever their nature. This discovery and the earnest effort to demonstrate Truth have helped to eliminate many undesirable traits of character, such as a quick temper, criticism of others, a headstrong will, and so on.

I am grateful also for many physical healings and proofs of protection resulting from my application of Christian Science. While swimming in the ocean, I was caught by a strong undertow and flung violently about. One toe struck a rock and became very painful. Soon it turned quite dark and began to swell, and its position suggested a break or sprain.

I declared that man is spiritual and has dominion; therefore he cannot be harmed or lose one iota of the harmony which is his by reflection. In a short time I was able to limp about on the foot, and gradually the pain lessened. In a matter of days the toe had returned to normalcy.
