In "Miscellaneous Writings"...

In "Miscellaneous Writings" Mrs. Eddy says (p. 19), "The spiritual sense of Life and its grand pursuits is of itself a bliss, health-giving and joy-inspiring." I should like to express my sincere gratitude for the blessings that have come into my experience since I took up the study of Christian Science.

This religion was introduced to me when I was ready for it. I had found that God was necessary to my happiness and well-being. A desire to know the truth, a desire for goodness and spiritual independence, led me to look outside the orthodox religion I had been brought up in. Christian Science was presented to me, and when I attended a Sunday morning church service I knew my search was over.

After studying the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, I realized that Christian Science is the promised Comforter, which gives spiritual meaning to the Scriptures. Through my study of this Science, as well as through church membership, class instruction, and the help of practitioners, my original aspirations have been fully satisfied. I have found the kingdom of heaven.
