Before learning of Christian Science, I had appendicitis twice and was under a physician's care. He predicted that if I should have another attack, only an operation could save me. While expecting my first child, I had a third attack. A Christian Science practitioner was called, and in less than four hours I was completely free. That was thirty-two years ago, and the healing has been permanent.

In our family of five we have had healings of so-called children's diseases and effects of accidents. Protection has been experienced in car accidents and in a Ferris wheel accident. One son was a maritime officer on a tanker during World War II, and he returned home safe.

When my husband was killed on police duty, I felt that his passing was more than I could bear. The thought of suicide was ever with me. After some time I went to live with some cousins, who were students of Christian Science. A practitioner friend worked for me, and my healing came quite suddenly. This freedom after five months of mental darkness was my greatest healing.
