Signs of the Times
From an editorial in the Marion Chronicle-Tribune Indiana
The Chicago Tribune carried an article by Roger W. Babson with the caption, "Religion as a Civic Force." Mr. Babson is a well-known and internationally recognized statistician. He is one of the best informed men in the country on matters pertaining to the economic and industrial interest of America....
Mr. Babson is of the opinion that what is needed in this age of ours is a disposition on the part of people to do some deep and earnest thinking themselves on the problems of life and destiny. The outward life of us mortals, as he conceives it, grows out of our human thinking, for, as the Word of God says, "As [a man] thinketh in his heart, so is he."
