Words are inadequate to express my gratitude to God. Had I not found the truth concerning God and man, I might no longer be alive.

In 1934 I was in great distress. I was suffering from a nervous disorder and was so miserable mentally and physically that I felt I could hardly go on living. For seven months I prayed God to lead me to the right physician. And my prayers were answered, for I found Christian Science.

A relative took me to a Christian Science practitioner, who worked for me. I felt the help at once, and my courage and strength were renewed. Within a few days I was able to do all my work again. I could even do heavy work in the fields, even though at times I had to struggle to keep my freedom. However, I was victorious, for I studied the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and regularly read the Bible Lessons in the Christian Science Quarterly, from which I received much inspiration and help. In addition to my own healing, my daughter was healed of ear trouble.
